On Saturday, November 16, 2019 join us for a special presentation by Marshall Shore, Arizona’s Hip Historian from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Pioneer Masonic Lodge #82,19055 E K-Mine Rd., Black Canyon City, AZ 85324. Marshall Shore specializes in finding and sharing the most interesting bits and curiosities from our past: the semi-forgotten people, places, and events that have made us who we are today. Marshall uses storytelling magic, found film footage, old photographs, sound recordings, ephemera, and artifacts to bring Arizona’s history to life in his entertaining and educational presentations. The November Water, Black Canyon City & Me event is the final presentation in the year-long local activities that complements the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street exhibit, “AZ Water/Ways,” hosted by the Black Canyon Heritage Park, December 14, 2019 through January 26, 2020 at the Cañon Elementary School in Black Canyon City. The "Water, Black Canyon City & Me" program is made possible by a grant from the Arizona Humanities.
