Join Natural Restorations on Saturday, June 8th from 9am to 1pm for a Doce Pit Cleanup. Help us keep our public lands clean and open for the public to enjoy! We can accommodate small and large groups! If you are in an OHV, 4X4 or target shooting club, we’d love to have you join us. This is also a great opportunity for youth! Volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult group leader. The road is graded; volunteers with cars and SUVs are welcome! If you have an OHV or 4x4 truck, this is a great opportunity to explore the area and help us remove scattered trash. We need volunteers with trucks and trailers to help us get trash back to the dumpster. Sign-in: 8:20-9:00AM | Safety Briefing: approx. 9AM | Cleanup starts: after safety briefing What to bring: We will have gloves for you. *Youth volunteers will need to bring gloves that fit their hands; most of our gloves are in adult sizes. Bring leaf a rake if you have one, there is a lot of trash that will be much easier to remove with the help of a rake. Trash grabbers and buckets are also helpful. We suggest putting a piece of duct tape with your name and number on your tools to ensure they are returned to you if you get separated. What to wear: please wear clothing and shoes that can get dirty. Wear gloves, long pants, thick sole & closed-toe sturdy shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. No sandals or flip-flops. Water: Please help us reduce our use of single-use plastics and bring a refillable water bottle or hydration backpack. We will have water jugs for you to refill your bottles. You will always be fairly close to your vehicle so you can also keep extra waters in your vehicle. We can increase our impact by making a conscious effort not to use single-use plastic water bottles! Lunch: Big Daddy E’s Smokin BBQ from Chino Valley is bringing lunch out. If you have any dietary restrictions, you may want to bring your own lunch.
