A live theatre experience at the Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium. The universe is both the setting and the story in “Silent Sky," by Lauren Gunderson, a play based on the life of astronomer Henrietta Swan Leavitt and her work with a dedicated group of women, including Annie Cannon and Williamina Fleming, at Harvard Observatory in the 19th century. It is a tale of passion, tenacity, sacrifice, luminosity, and working to find our place in the vastness of space. Shows will last for approximately an hour. Please remember to arrive at the planetarium at least 10 minutes prior to the showtime indicated on your ticket.
