On Sunday, October 20 beginning at 1:30 PM, enjoy an afternoon performance by ProMusica Arizona, a leader in bringing live music to audiences in the Phoenix area since 2003. The concert will feature Women in Song and a mixed voice chamber ensemble providing a choral performance of American folk songs of the southwest and music that is thematically tied into Water/Ways under the direction of Artistic Director Patti Graetz. The concert will be held in Black Canyon Community Health Center, 19251 Oasis Drive, Black Canyon City. The walls of the Center's stunning lobby will also be adorned with the 2017 Water/Ways Black Canyon Heritage Park Contest winners along with specially selected entries from the upcoming November 22-23 "Art in the Canyon" plus two original paintings from Black Canyon City artist, Gary Bennett. The October Water, Black Canyon City & Me event is the seventh of eight presentations in the year-long local activities that complements the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street exhibit, “AZ Water/Ways,” hosted by the Black Canyon Heritage Park, December 14, 2019 through January 26, 2020 at the Cañon Elementary School in Black Canyon City. The "Water, Black Canyon City & Me" program is made possible by a grant from the Arizona Humanities.
