Mary was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Mary's family has served in the military dating back to the Civil War. Her father served in the Army for 23 years, POW for 3 ½ years in World War II in the Bataan Death March.
Mary has served as a Yavapai County Supervisor since July 15, 2019.
Mary and Kirk married in 1993 and have lived in Prescott Valley for over 20 years. They have four sons and ten grandchildren. Two sons joined the Army after the 9/11 attacks, one retired from the Army the other is still serving. Their other two sons live and work in San Diego, Ca. Mary was instrumental in creating the Prescott Valley Healing Field of Northern Arizona, a tribute of 3,000 U.S. flags displayed annually in memory of those lost on 9/11.
